Hindumathi Palanisamy is a Scientific Officer at the World Meteorological Organization of the United Nations Organization based in Geneva, Switzerland where she manages projects under the World Climate Research Programme. The World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) leads the way in addressing frontier scientific questions on climate science and human induced climate change by coordinating and facilitating international climate research. Hindumathi Palanisamy is an ocean scientist specialized in sea level changes due to climate change. She possesses a PhD in Space- based Oceanography from the French Space Agency. She did her post graduate studies in Aeronautical and Space Mechanics in France and undergraduate studies in Aeronautical Engineering at Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai, India. Her entire schooling was at Vana Vani. Prior to joining WMO, Hindumathi Palanisamy was a senior research scientist at the Centre for Climate Research Singapore, in Singapore. Earlier to that, she worked for the European Space Agency in Toulouse, France.
